Support Worker — Parramatta

Parramatta, NSW Casual $34.85 – $41.76 per hour + super Accepting applications

Role overview

We are looking for casual support workers to join our Parramatta team, supporting participants with daily living, community access and in-home support across Parramatta, Harris Park, Westmead and Granville.

You will work with a small, consistent group of participants rather than a different person every shift. Most of our casual workers build up to a regular pattern within a couple of months, and many move to part-time hours from there.

This role suits someone reliable, unhurried and genuinely interested in other people's lives. Formal qualifications help but they are not the thing we screen hardest on.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and transfers
  • Support participants with meal preparation, shopping and household tasks
  • Assist with community access — appointments, social activities, work and study
  • Prompt and supervise medication in line with each participant's health plan
  • Write clear, factual shift notes in our app before you finish
  • Report incidents and concerns promptly to your team leader
  • Work alongside families, coordinators and health professionals respectfully

Requirements

  • Current Australian driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (we help you apply and cover the cost)
  • First Aid and CPR certificate (we will fund this if you do not have one)
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Availability for at least three shifts a week, including one weekend shift a fortnight
  • Certificate III in Individual Support is desirable but not required

What we offer

  • $34.85 – $41.76 per hour plus superannuation, with penalty rates
  • Paid travel time between shifts and kilometres reimbursed
  • Paid two-day induction before your first shift
  • Ongoing training funded by us and completed in paid hours
  • Consistent participants so you build real relationships
  • A regional team leader reachable during every shift

We encourage applications from everyone

Including people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and LGBTQIA+ people. If you need an adjustment at any stage of the process, tell us and we will arrange it.
