BrightPath Supports

Core supports

In-Home Support

Practical help around the house — cleaning, laundry, gardening, shopping and the maintenance tasks that keep a home comfortable and safe.

Introduction

What this support actually looks like

In-home support keeps your household running when some tasks have become difficult, unsafe or simply take more energy than they are worth. It sits alongside personal care rather than replacing it.

We do the work with you wherever you want to be involved, and independently when you would rather spend your energy elsewhere. Either way, it is your home and your standards.

Who this may suit

  • Household tasks have become physically difficult
  • You live alone and want the place kept on top of
  • Energy is limited and you would rather spend it elsewhere
  • A family member currently does it all and needs relief
  • You want the house safe to move around in

Questions

About in-home support

Yes — different providers use different names for it. Under the NDIS it usually sits within core supports as assistance with daily life. We will confirm which part of your plan it draws from.

Basic yard maintenance such as mowing, weeding and keeping paths clear, yes. Anything requiring a licensed trade or working at height needs a qualified contractor, and we will help you arrange one.

Plenty of participants prefer that. We agree access arrangements in writing beforehand, and your worker leaves a short note of what was done each visit.
