BrightPath Supports

Core supports

Transport Assistance

Reliable travel to work, study, appointments and social plans — plus support to build the confidence to travel independently if that is your goal.

Introduction

What this support actually looks like

Transport is the support that quietly unlocks everything else. If getting there is unreliable, the appointment gets missed, the shift gets dropped and the invitation stops coming.

We provide door-to-door travel with a support worker, and we also do travel training — practising a route until you can do it on your own. Plenty of participants start with the first and move to the second.

Who this may suit

  • Public transport is not accessible on your route
  • You need support during the journey, not just at either end
  • Appointments are spread across Sydney and hard to link up
  • You want to learn a route so you can travel independently
  • You need reliable travel to a job or a course

Questions

About transport assistance

Transport funding varies. Some plans include a recurring transport allowance, others fund the worker's time during travel under core supports. We will check your plan and explain exactly what it covers before we start.

We have access to modified vehicles across our Sydney regions. Availability varies by area, so please tell us what you need at enquiry so we can confirm rather than guess.

Often yes, subject to your insurance covering additional drivers and the worker holding the right licence class. We will check both before the first shift.
